Hi, friend! Today, we're going to create charming treat bags/party favors using paper scraps. This easy and fun DIY project is perfect for adding a personalized touch to your gatherings, and it’s a great way to repurpose leftover paper. Click here to download a PDF of this tutorial. Let’s get started!

Materials Needed:
Paper scraps (wrapping paper, scrapbook paper, old book pages, etc.)
Scissors
Double-sided tape
Glue
Decorative/Washi tape (optional)
Ribbon, twine, or other embellishments (optional)

Instructions:
Gather various paper scraps. For a cohesive look, choose papers that complement your color scheme or theme.

Cut your paper into squares. I like to use about 5x5 inches, but you can adjust based on your needs.

To form the bag: take one square and curl it in half, aligning the edges. Secure the open edge with double-sided tape, forming a cylinder.

Pinch one end of the cylinder flat. Fold the pinched end up about a quarter to half an inch and secure it with tape.

Fill your bag with treats, small gifts, or notes. Consider using small candies or flower/vegetable seeds as fillers.

Pinch the top end of the cylinder in the opposite direction of the bottom. Fold the pinched end down about half an inch and secure it with tape.

Optional: add Washi tape, ribbon, lace or decorative edging around the top for a finishing touch.

Get Creative:
Theme It: Match the paper and decorations to the event’s theme.
Handwritten Notes: Include small, handwritten notes or quotes inside each bag for a personal touch.
Change it up: Use book pages, sheet music, or photocopied vintage letters for a distinctive look.
