For this project, we will need the following:
- glass or plastic white Christmas ornaments
- acrylic paint pens. I used Posca pens in apple green, dark green and gold
- a clear spray-on sealer. I used Colorshot matte sealer
To begin, choose one of your green colors (make sure they contrast nicely, one darker and one lighter) and start adding ferns spaced a bit apart. I start with the center line first, add lines coming out from the center and then fatten those smaller lines into leaf shapes. Be sure to leave room for your second color of fronds! Once you have your first color of green, add more fronds with the second color. Alternate the size and direction as you go.

Next, we'll add some detail lines. Use the dark green on the lighter one and vice versa. It just takes a few lines on each leaf.

Time for sparkles! Use your gold pen to add stars. I start mine with a cross shape and fill in the center a bit. You can do whatever star shape you like. I also like to add dashes or wavy lines around them for starbursts.

Finally, fill in as much of the white space as you want with small dots, more sparkles or even single leaf shapes. Let it dry overnight and then add 2-3 coats of sealer. It is really important to do light, even coats of sealer to avoid any drips. Don't go with a heavy hand on this step. Hang them to dry and make sure they aren't touching each other or anything else.
You can find a video of my process at the end of this blog post. Hope you have an enchanted holiday!
